About
We are a creative writing club based in Westview High School. Our goal is to improve our writing skills through collaboration and constructive criticism. Anyone is welcome to join, and if writing's not your thing but you like to read, we would love to have you reading our writing! Drop by Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. McHeffey's room, D118, and spread the word!
We operate on a two week cycle:
Week One - This is our presentation week! A different member will pick a topic (see 'Presentation Suggestions') to present on. Questions will be answered and a group discussion will be held.
Stories will also be posted on individual author pages; in order to protect privacy, authors have the option of having their stories published under a pen name, or not published at all.
Week Two - At this meeting we will discuss club business, if applicable, and edit the personal projects each member is undertaking through through the year. If nobody needs help with their personal projects, we will hold a small writing workshop.
During each meeting, a 'house poem' is passed around. Each person contributes a line and the poem is read aloud at the end of meeting.
